Giorgio Vasari Halls at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence in Italy

Giorgio Vasari and Marco da Faenza, Lorenzo the Magnificent Room, at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence
Lorenzo the Magnificent Room
Giorgio Vasari marked the Palazzo Vecchio with his works.

Not only did he manage to give to the hall of the Five Hundred greatness and prestige, but he also painted many frescoes in the rest of Palazzo Vecchio.

To top it off, he connected it to the Uffizi Gallery by building a footbridge called the “Cavalcavia”, which passes over via Della Ninna and allows access to the Uffizi from the Green Chamber of Palazzo Vecchio without going through the street.

Here are the rooms he has decorated in addition to the Sala dei Cinquecento:

Room of Cosimo, the Elder
Lorenzo the Magnificent
The rooms of Penelope, Esther and the Sabines
The Hall of Pope Leo X
