Regulated Traffic in Florence - ZTL

From Monday to Friday, from 7:30a.m. to 8:00p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. most of Florence is a ZTL, a restricted traffic area, prohibited to non-residents.

From April to October and from Thursday to Saturday, a night ZTL is also active from 23:00 to 3:00 in the morning.

During these periods, access is controlled electronically and to enter, you will need to notify well in advance the car park company you have chosen or your hotel or accommodation.

Red lights on the main avenues signal this ban.

Your hotel reservation will not be sufficient, you will need to inform your hotel or the car park company in advance by indicating your registration. Guests can park outside the hotel for up to one hour. This requires parking in the parking lots provided for this purpose.

Motorcycles are not affected by the ZTL!
